Student Calendar Parent Survey

Yuma School District One is in the process of developing a student calendar for the next two school years. A calendar committee has been developed, and they are presenting two options. The district is seeking feedback from District One parents regarding which calendar option they prefer. Please complete only one survey below for your choice of calendar regardless of the number of children you have in our district. The survey will close on Friday, November 16. Thank you in advance for your feedback and participation.

  • Average Increase from Prior Year - $3,960
  • Percentage Increase 11%

Science at Otondo

Students at Otondo Elementary were happy to find out they will be visiting the STEM science lab because it means fun, experiments, and exciting projects. In October, students completed a Halloween themed chemistry experiment. To find out more about this story, please watch our science lab video.

AVID Parent's Night at Woodard

Woodard Jr. High invited the parents of AVID students to learn more about the program, and see first-hand what their children were accomplishing. Students presented to their parents a mock tutorial, and explained why this is helpful for their future. Please watch our video to find out more about this story.

Yuma Elementary School District One, as required by the Office of Special Education and Arizona Department of Education, is responsible for ensuring that all children with disabilities (preschool-aged through 8th grade) within the district’s geographic boundaries are to be identified, located, and evaluated, including children attending parochial schools, private schools, or those who are homeschooled in need of special education and related services. A free and appropriate public education shall be available to all children with disabilities (preschool-aged through 8th grade) within the district’s boundaries.
